Marlene Dumas had three paintings In the group show Prima Materia.
Working in a black and white these images were very loosely formed and created intimate scenes or moments.
They were painted in oil with crayon and the delicacy or drawn quality of the line was evident, adding to their depth and simplicity.
Stunning pieces that needed neither scale nor quantity to impress.
There was enough to see in just these works.
